School doors around the world have been closed for several months to stop the spread of the
COVID-19 pandemic. During this crisis, we have seen tremendous large-scale efforts to use
technology in support of distance learning.
Digital technology in education enables us to find new answers not only for what people learn,
but also for how they learn, where and when they learn. Moreover, digital technology can help
increase the role of teachers. Instead of simply communicating knowledge, they can become
knowledge co-creators, trainers, mentors, and evaluators.
But to ensure that digital technology works properly and effectively in educating and developing
learning, we need to make sure that our controllers / inspectors are well aware of how this
technology works, and by recognizing it at the right level, are able to do its control / inspection.
Information Technology Inspection (hereinafter IT) examines processes, IT assets and controls at
various levels within schools / colleges (hereinafter organizations) to determine the extent to
which the organization adheres to applicable standards or requirements.
IT Inspection / Control helps the organization understand, evaluate, and improve the use of
controls to protect IT, measure, and correct performance, and achieve objectives and intended
outcomes.
This training focuses on explaining all aspects of IT inspection / control, from describing the
creation of inspection / control programs and the process of conducting inspections / controls, to
identifying relevant standards, methodologies, frameworks and sources of guidance for IT
inspection / control.
